This takes the explorer through a walking history of the University of Paris around Arrondissement 5 from its founding in the 12th Century focusing on some of the many renowned Irish scholars at the University who came here in succeeding centuries. It details the establishment of Irish colleges in the late 16th and 17th Centuries and the Centre Culturel Irlandais (CCI) in the 20th Century.

Tour 3/2025. Poverty, Fame and Riches: The Changing Fortunes of the Irish in Paris.

This tour covers Arrondissements 2, 3, 4 and opens up a world of Irish people or of Irish descent who survived and made their way in Parisian society in the 17th and 18th centuries, It follows the trail of Irish emigrants who set up camp here in the 16th century and the bankers who made fortunes and lost them and women whose wits and looks took them to the very top of French society. The tour delves into the irish connections of the Duke of Wellington and his exploits in Paris and also Presidents MacMahon and Charles de Gaulle among many others.
